Your artist statement (in mother tongue): MAXIMUM 100 words
E.G. I have tried to strip the landscape genre down to its basic elements - dense organic texture juxtaposed with blocks of colour, structure with randomness, figuration with abstraction. Explorations of early medieval art in particular have made me aware of a much older tradition in which painting complemented architecture and took on architectonic forms. The end result is a piece that is both universal, as an abstraction, but also particular in its relationship to a specific place and time.(Julian Rowe )
